The Chaplaincy Team provides pastoral support and care to patients, their families and staff, providing a listening ear and hand of friendship to those of all faiths and none. Chaplains are available throughout the day and provide an emergency call-out service outside of core hours. The team can contact multi faith leaders from the local community on request. The Chaplaincy Team are proud to support the military community and other diverse networks throughout the Trust.

Chapel Services
  • Morning Prayer: Monday to Friday - 9.00am
  • Holy Communion: Sunday - 10.00 am
  • Roman Catholic Mass: Sunday - 4pm
Transport to Sunday Services

For Sunday services some patients can be collected and taken back to their wards by a wheelchair service provided by the Chaplaincy volunteers. To book please call extension 6408 stating if the patient is attending Holy Communion or Roman Catholic Mass.

Due to current Covid restrictions only staff can attend the Sunday service but the Chaplains can visit the ward if requested.

Multi-Faith Prayer Room

The Multi-Faith rooms are located next to the chapel with ablution facilities available as well as at the end of the 'B' Level corridor. Friday prayers are held at 1pm in their respective rooms. Prayer aids are available within  the room.

How to find the Chapel and Multi-faith room

The Chapel is located through the main A level Reception. Follow the corridor and pass the shop and Costa Coffee, then the Chapel is on your left (Next to No. 3 on the map).
